Having recently converted to Christianity, my latest ongoing project, Ruach, was birthed from this new worldview. Much of my work before this point dealt with my aversions to religion and my traumas. Having seen the light, though, changed everything for me and my art with it. This new series parallels metaphorically with my eyes having been open through infrared photography. Ruach is defined as breath, spirit, or wind. It is used commonly in the Bible to refer to God’s breath, which animates all living things. This body of work attempts to imagine God's breath through the infrared light emitted through living things. It is a love letter and a poetic journey through human experience.
